"Reaching ever outwards into the Community"

The presence of 6 Towns Credit Union in the Sandwell area enables us to provide financial services to everyone who lives or works in the area. Currently we have over 4500 members and the number continues to grow.

Since the formulation of the organisation we have endeavoured to ensure that we are visible and active within local communities. This has been achieved by:

• Working directly with residential community offices
• Forming links with employers
• Forming partnerships with organisations that deal with people that are excluded from financial services  
• Employing the best staff that not only know the financial services industry but the communities within which they live.
• Dealing with landlords and government agencies to resolve financial problems
• Encouraging those members that go from crisis to crisis to become a “saver” and break the circle of dependency.
• Our ongoing work with many agencies to reach the Financially Excluded. This includes our ongoing work with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, schools and with other organizations such as the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) and the SCVO to ensure that our members get the best possible advice.
