With changes to the Housing Benefits being paid directly to the Tenant we are able to offer the following service.

Tenants

Payments are now paid directly into the Tenants Bank, Building Society or Credit Union account. By having the Housing Benefit paid directly into a 6 Towns Credit Union account we are able to set up an arrangement to pay your Landlord for you. This means that as a Tenant you don't have the hassle or the temptation to use the money for something other than your Rent.

This Service is FREE to all Tenants.

Landlords

As a Landlord your main concern is get your money paid on time and in full.

By your Tenant having their Housing Benefit paid directly into a 6 Towns Credit Union account we do all the administration of the payments to ensure that you get the money. This means you can have the reassurance that the money will be paid directly into your Bank Account without any hassles or worries.

Charges

This Service is FREE to all Tenants.

Landlords pay the following fee.

1. Every 2 weeks as the Housing Benefit is paid into the tenant's 6 Towns Credit Union account we will transfer the money once it has cleared into our Bank account.
2. The cost of this is £5.00 per transaction per property.
3. With 2 transactions on 1 property the Total monthly cost for this service is £10.00.
4. You can opt to have your Tenants rent paid to you once a month with a charge of £5.00 per property
5. Rent is paid directly into your Bank Account.

Please Note. Under the Data Protection Act 6 Towns Credit Union will not release any information to Landlords regarding the monies held or personal data that relates to the Member/Tenant without a written Authorization by the Member/Tenant. 

How do you join this scheme?

All you have to do is to Download the Landlord Pack

Both Tenant and Landlord complete all papers and sign the documents then bring in the fully completed form, the Tenant brings in Indentification for the member and £1.00 to open the account.
