Our Schools Programme

"Let 6 Towns Credit Union help you show the benefits of saving"

Research shows that a secure financial situation at home can impact on the well being of a child. Financial Inclusion through the links we build with schools, pupils, parents and the wider community will have a long lasting impact.

Our aim with this programme is to help Pupils to get into the habit of saving money and develop life skills that will help later in life. In addition the scheme can link into the National Curriculum by developing personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS), which can have a considerable impact on the life chances of young people and their ability to enter work and adult life as confident and capable individuals. As you will be aware the Personal, Social, Health & Economic (PSHE) curriculum is designed to aid pupils' well being through life. Our Schools Programme can to help to demonstrate that you are giving access to savings accounts and financial security.

We will help Schools to set up a Savings Club and will provide training and support for volunteers that are in place. The money that the pupils save can then be tracked on line helping Teachers to provide an educational benefit, as the pupils develop the saving habit.
